Pepsi Refresh Project ~ Mary Jo Grieve,  the Director of St. Andrew’s Nursery School,  has applied for a Refresh Grant for St. Andrew’s.  If awarded, the money will be spent giving the school building a facelift, adding to the play yard, establishing funds for professional development, and funds for families in need. Your help, by voting and getting the word out about this, is needed.  Voting will begin online at 6:00 a.m. on April 1st 2010,  and you will be able to vote once every day throughout the month. Everyone is encouraged to go online and vote for St. Andrew’s Nursery School ~ look for the school mascot,  Amos the giraffe.  Follow the link below to get to the website to cast your vote:                   http://www.refresheverything.com/categories/education           Sunday,  May 2nd 2010 – INSAYN – picnic on the patio with games and outdoor activities weather permitting. Otherwise, see you in St. Andrew’s Hall                                                 Friday,  May 7th 2010 – Blood drive at St. Andrew’s – please feel free to come and donate blood.                                                      Friday,  May 21st 2010 – Luther League night in the Annex.  All students 5th – 8th grade are invited to join a night of “hanging out” from 7-9pm. Sunday,  May 23rd 2010 – join us as we celebrate Pentecost.  At the 11am service we will celebrate with 17 of our youth their Affirmation of Baptism.   Sunday,  June 6th 2010 – LAFF (Lutherans About Family Fun) a family fellowship group meeting at 5pm starting with a potluck picnic dinner followed by games for the entire family. Sunday,  June 13th 2010 – Swim party at Markley’s Swim Club - Bring the entire family for a picnic as well as a “cool” time in the pool. Activities start at 5pm. Wednesday  evenings in July - WOW is coming to St. Andrew’s.  Every Wednesday in July (7, 14, 21, 28) we will have Wednesday’s On the Water at St. Andrew’s.  All of God’s family is invited as we look at water stories in the bible through crafts, games, songs and food. It will be a “whale” of a time as we “eat on the beach” after “fishing” before the “storm”.  Come join the fun, bring your entire family and friends. The fun starts at 7pm and goes until 8:30pm.
