As we prepare for Bible Study on Thursday and worship this weekend our primary texts will be 2 Kings 5:1-3,7-15 and Luke 17:11-19. I am particularly intrigued by Naaman in the first lesson. If you find yourself looking at this text in advance, here are some questions to consider:
1. What do you think is Naaman's biggest challenge in the story?
2. Why do you think Naaman is so reluctant to follow Elisha's instructions?
3. Naaman receives hope and encouragement from several people. What or who is your source of encouragement?
4. Naaman finds blessing in very unlikely places. Where have you found blessing through a person, time or place where you least expected it?
I continue to give thanks for the blessings that I have received through many of you. Your words of hope and encouragement and your acts of servanthood have been a tremendous source of strength. Indeed it is a great privilege and incredible honor to stand among you as a servant leader.
May God's blessings be upon us as we grow together in mission. See you in church!
