For All the Saints

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Words cannot describe the power of the Spirit in worship yesterday as we celebrated the Reformation and prayed for the continual reform of the Church that Christ would be made known.  A special word of thanks to all of our musicians for offering their gifts to the glory of God.
Our celebration takes on a different tone this weekend and yet a very hopeful one as we celebrate All Saints Day and give thanks for all of God's faithful people from every time and every place and are especially mindful of those departed loved ones who have shaped us in faith and daily life.  Invite family and friends to worship as we sense God's holy presence and promises in our lives.
Lord God, you have surrounded with so great a cloud of witnesses.  Grant that we, encouraged by the example of your faithful people, may persevere in the course that is set before us and, at the last, share in your eternal joy with all the saints in light, through Jesus Christ, our S…

Always Reforming

Join us this Sunday as, with favorite hymns, music from St. Andrew's Brass, and special music from our choirs,  we celebrate the Reformation, giving thanks for Martin Luther and church reformers who continue to refocus the church's attention on the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Let us continue to open our eyes, ears, and hearts to the Spirit's presence among us as we continue to see reformation in our churches, communities, and our daily lives.  And let us give thanks for the gift of faith that sustains and strengthens us every step of the way.  See you in church!  (And for those of you w…
