Norristown Soup Kitchen In June of 2002, we started serving meals at the Norristown Soup Kitchen, located at St. John's Episcopal Church in Norristown. We continue to serve the 3rd Wednesday of each month. Each year, over 1,000 meals are served. Of course none of this would be possible without the help of our members, who provide the meals served and those who volunteer to help serve the meals. The typical menu consists of a chicken and rice casserole, buttered bread, collard greens, green beans, desert and a beverage. During the holidays we provide special needed items to soup kitchen recipients. Items in the past have included hats, scarf's, gloves and toiletries.     For more information or to join the committee,  please contact the church office.
